Laine Hardy, who won season 17 of American Idol, has been arrested for illegally spying on his ex-girlfriend. The 21-year-old Louisiana singer is accused of bugging a local university student he dated.
According to Page Six, the country singer could get a real prison sentence on criminal charges of interception and disclosure of wire, electronic or oral communication. His victim claimed to have found a listening device under his bed in a student dorm.
It turned out that this is a voice recorder that reacts to the voice and turns on when it "hears" it. The girl said that only Hardy could put it under her bed back in February of this year.
