Disney+ celebrates 'Star Wars Day' with official Obi-Wan Kenobi trailer
The video told a lot about the future of the series.
In honor of Star Wars Day, Disney+ released the official trailer for the new Obi-Wan Kenobi spin-off series on May 4th. Ewan McGregor will play the main character, but there's more to learn from the 90-second video.
In the story, Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi is on the run from Darth Vader (Hayden Christensen) and the Empire in an attempt to track down a young Luke Skywalker. The 6-part series echoes the original George Lucas films.
At the end of the video, Darth Vader also briefly appeared, with whom, apparently, Kenobi will again have to cross lightsabers. Obi-Wan Kenobi starts May 27th.
