Tom Cruise was delighted with Lady Gaga's song for Top Gun: Maverick
He called the song as "heartbeat" of the whole movie.
Tom Cruise expressed his delight at the song of his friend Lady Gaga, who recorded it specifically for the new film with the actor Top Gun: Maverick. The song is called Hold My Hand and Tom said on The Late Late Show that it was a big influence on the sequel to the 1986 cult film.
According to Cruz, 59, Gaga literally set the motion of the film with her music.
"It just opened up the whole movie. She's amazing. It just opened those doors to the emotional core of the film that we had. Her song that she'd written just fell right in and became, really, the underlying score and the heartbeat of our film," he added.
