'It looks impossible': David Tennant and Catherine Tate will return to Doctor Who in 2023
Tenth Doctor David Tennant, who played him from 2005 to 2010, and Catherine Tate (Donna Noble) will officially return to Doctor Who in 2023. The BBC producers took this step because of the series' upcoming 60th anniversary.
The Tenth Doctor and Noble were one of the most beloved and memorable couples on the show of all time. The last time the Doctor erased Donna's memory to save her, and if she remembers anything, she dies. All the more interesting is how the writers will solve this problem, USM informs.
"They're back! And it looks impossible - first, we announce a new Doctor, and then an old Doctor, along with the wonderful Donna, what on earth is happening? Maybe this is a missing story. Or a parallel world. Or a dream, or a trick, or a flashback," intrigued Doctor Who showrunner Russell T. Davies.
