Johnny Depp's former agent Tracy Jacobs, who works for United Talent Agency, spoke about his financial situation in 2016. According to her, the actor was broke after the courts began with Amber Heard.
Tracy explained that in the midst of his financial troubles, Depp even demanded a $20 million handout from his agency. He believed that he brought the agency much more money than this 20 million, so they could help him.
Notably, sources explain that Depp earned about $600 million between 1999 and 2016. As for his demand for the agency, it wasn't a loan; Depp demanded the money for nothing, Insider writes.
