'American Idol' star Caleb Kennedy released on bail after fatal car accident
He ran over a man with his pickup truck while under the influence of drugs.
Last seasons American Idol contestant Caleb Kennedy has been released from jail on bail. Caleb is accused of running a man over to death with his pickup truck. He posted $50,000 bail and will await trial under house arrest.
During his court-ordered house arrest, Caleb must undergo treatment for mental illness. The singer has been in jail since February after he drove his pickup off the road into a driveway and hit a 54-year-old victim.
It later emerged that Kennedy was under the influence of cannabis and prozac at the time. He could face 25 years in prison if convicted of DUI causing death, writes NYP.
