Halsey accused her label of not releasing her new song without viral content on TikTok
The singer is tired of the music industry turning into marketing.
Halsey criticized her record label for not wanting to release her new song. The singer explained that Astralwerks requires TikTok to have viral content to help promote the song before its release.
Halsey also said she has already sold 165 million copies of her records and now just wants to release new songs without the "support" of TikTok.
"I can't release it unless they can fake a viral moment on tiktok. Everything is marketing and they are doing this to basically every artist these days. I just wanna release music, man. and I deserve better tbh. I'm tired," Halsey was quoted as saying by E!Online.
