Jeff Hardy suspended from performing at AEW without pay due to arrest
The wrestler's contract will be renewed when he takes a sobriety course.
Jeff Hardy has been suspended from AEW without pay because he was arrested for DUI. The wrestling promotion took a harshly negative view of its star's behavior and did not approve, imposing sanctions on Jeff.
AEW president and CEO Tony Hahn said that the performance ban will remain in effect until Hardy completes a treatment program for alcohol addiction and proves he is capable of staying sober. Jeff's closest fight was scheduled for Wednesday, but will be canceled.
Khan added that AEW will help Jeff get the addiction treatment he needs, TMZ writes. The 44-year-old wrestler agreed to those terms.
