Appeals court leaves Harvey Weinstein's sentence unchanged
The producer will continue to serve his 23-year sentence in a California prison.

An appeals court upheld Harvey Weinstein's conviction for rape. Weinstein argued that the judge in his trial was biased against him, and charges unrelated to him were added to the case.

Weinstein, 70, was sentenced to prison in February 2020 for first-degree criminal sexual intercourse and third-degree rape. The #MeToo movement emerged during the high-profile case, after which dozens of women filed charges against him.

We are reviewing all of our options and will seek to petition the court appeals and beyond. We are disappointed, but not surprised," Weinstein's representative told Deadline.
