Blondie singer Debbie Harry stated that she loves good covers
Rock 'n' roll legend Debbie Harry of Blondie revealed that she loves cover versions of interesting songs. But for a cover to be just as interesting, you have to know how to do it right.
By the way, some of Blondie's biggest hits such as The Tide Is High or Hanging on the Telephone were covers. Debbie says she really likes the way Miley Cyrus performed their Heart of Glass, as well as Green Day's Dreaming.
The singer explained that a good cover should be a considered reworking of the original song. It should be a reimagined version that "pays homage to the original creator for the inspiration but ties in with the DNA of the covering artist," writes Far Out.
