'Bridget Loves Bernie' star David Birney dies due to Alzheimer's
The actor was 83 years old.
The St. Elsewhere and Bridget Loves Bernie actor died at his home in Santa Monica from Alzheimer's disease. He was 83 and was diagnosed in 2017, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Michelle Roberge, who has been a life partner in recent years, spoke about Birney's death. He was previously married to Meredith Baxter, with whom he played in Bridget Loves Bernie. They divorced in 1989 after 15 years of marriage.
David often acted on Broadway, he starred in adaptations of Serpico and starred in television series.
