The cast of the musical 'Cinderella' found out they were fired, via Twitter
The cast of the canceled musical Cinderella was fired just minutes before going on stage. The actors are outraged and criticize Andrew Lloyd-Webber for not notifying them, but tweeting about it.
In fact, the actors found out about their dismissal from social media. Many actors are angry because they suddenly lost their jobs. Others, such as Summer Strallen, have abandoned other big jobs altogether for a role in Webber's Cinderella, writes the Daily Mail.
With the production of the musical from the very beginning, a lot did not go according to plan. The premiere was appointed during the coronavirus pandemic, tickets sold poorly. As a result, Cinderella did not last even one year on the stage of Covent Garden in London.
