Country singer Mickey Gilley dies at age 86

Country legend Mickey ‘Urban cowboy' Gilley died
Gilley was given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1984.

"Urban cowboy", pioneer of the style, Mickey Gilley died Saturday in Branson, Missouri in his 86.

It says, he passed peacefully surrounded by family and his friends. Recently he returned home after April tour.

Gilley had 17 number one country records, starting with "Room Full of Roses" in 1974. His musical career got new life with the film "Urban Cowboy," which starred John Travolta and was set at Gilley's own honky tonk club in Pasadena, Texas, CNN informs.
