Gemma Owen says her father Michael sent her to work when she was 18
He stopped supporting his daughter and suggested she earn her own money.
Michael Owen's daughter Gemma said she was outraged when, at 18, her father stripped her of his money. The former Liverpool striker suggested Gemma should go work in a pub around the corner if she needed money.
The Love Island star, now 19, added that her upkeep started late and ended too soon. However, Michael gave her a large sum of money for her birthday so she could start her own swimsuit business, the Daily Mail reports.
So Gemma will really be able to earn on her own now, though not behind a bar.
