The Simpsons brought in an actor for an important purpose.

The Simpsons is once again at the center of the current agenda. This time, actor Hugh Jackman and former Labor Secretary Robert Reich took part in the new episode.

They raised a number of important social topics of today. Jackman got the role of a janitor, and Reich played a cameo. They performed an animated musical number, drawing Bart's attention to the collapse of the US middle class.

“I'm saying you'll definitely never get a job like your dad's, and you'll have a tough time finding something significantly worse," Jackman's character said.

The Simpsons characters sang about unemployment, corporations, corporate greed and other issues inside and outside the US.

Among other things, the scene features a character that looks like Facebook founder Mark Zuckerbeg pushing the "Death to Democracy" button, Yahoo News reports.
