Hulu to film Holocaust survival story starring Joey King
The series We Were the Lucky Ones contains at least 8 episodes.
Joey King will star in the new Hulu series We Were the Lucky Ones. It will be a story of survival in the Holocaust, based on real events, writes The Hollywood Reporter.
The author of the original novel, Georgia Hunter, told the true story of her Jewish family, which was divided during World War II. Hulu has already ordered 8 episodes of the series.
The adaptation will be written by Erica Lipez (The Morning Show, Bates Motel) and directed by Thomas Kail.
