'It is not you who saves them, it is they who save you': Duchess Meghan ends her animal charity patronage
Duchess Meghan's patronage of animal welfare charity Mayhew has officially come to an end.
Meghan Markle has been a patron of this organization for three years. Now she has written a farewell message about her support for the organization.
"It was nearly four years ago, as I was exploring possible organizations to volunteer with, that Oli brought me to Mayhew. I fell in love with Mayhew, and soon became their Royal patron," Megan said .
In 2020, Meghan and her husband Prince Harry made a donation to the organization to help them, Harpersbazaar writes.
"The emotional support of a rescue animal is unparalleled—as you’ll soon realize: it is not you who saves them, it is they who save you," also Meghan said.
