Julia Garner can play Madonna in a biopic dedicated to the legendary singer.
Garner was chosen as the favorite for the role of a musical icon, but her participation has not yet been definitively confirmed, as well as the dates of the start of filming of the film.
"The Madonna project is under active development, and Julia Garner has been selected for the role of Madonna in a biopic," a source tells PEOPLE.
