Kelly Monaco lost her house in a huge fire due to a cigarette
The fear of many happened to the actress in reality.
General Hospital star Kelly Monaco lost her house in Los Angeles in a massive fire that was started after someone flicked a cigarette butt onto a nearby property Friday.
She said she was sleeping in her California home when she woke up to find a raging fire in her backyard. The fire quickly engulfed her house, but the actress was not hurt.
The security footage helped to determine the cause of the fire: someone tossed the butt into an empty lot next door to Monaco’s house.
“Something as little as a cigarette butt can cause casualties and devastation. This is how it started. Isn’t this crazy?” the 45-year-old actress told according to PageSix.
