Netflix showed the trailer for the new Resident Evil, based on the cult game
The events of the film will unfold 14 years after the T-virus infection.
Netflix has released a teaser trailer for the highly anticipated zombie drama Resident Evil, which will be based on the cult console game and TV movies. The sci-fi series will show the story of a group of young survivors who will battle aggressive zombies.
The series is set 14 years after a deadly virus caused the global apocalypse. In addition to bloodthirsty zombies, the world is populated by sinister creatures. Of course, the Umbrella Corporation didn't go anywhere either.
The showrunner was Andrew Dubba (Supernatural), the new series will take the best of the Resident Evil universe, The Hollywood Reporter informs.
