Queen Elizabeth marked the anniversary of her husband's death with a poem. She shared on a social media a poem written by British poet laureate Simon Armitage.
She chose poem titled The Patriarchs – An Elegy. The text was supplemented with videos from different periods of the prince's life. It includes some fragments of the royal wedding and ceremonial receptions.
Prince Philip died of old age on April 9, 2021 at the age of 99.
