Queen’s jet was forced to abort landing due to lightning and hail
Elizabeth II was traveling from her Balmoral residence in Scotland to Windsor Castle.
The Queen stumbled with problems as her plane was forced to abort landing because of lightning storm with hail. Elizabeth II returned from her Balmoral residence in Scotland to Windsor Castle ahead of Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
Her pilot had needed a second attempt to land successfully at RAF Northolt air force base after the weather cleared. The Queen moved to off-road with a corgi on the back seat and arrived back at Windsor Castle, The Sun reported.
