Roy Jones Jr. plans to fly to Moscow to get Brittney Griner out of Russian prison
The basketball player has been in jail for four months.
Roy Jones Jr. is planning to fly to Moscow to get Brittney Griner out of Russian prison. Roy has dual citizenship, in 2015 Vladimir Putin made him a Russian citizen as well.
"Because if Brittney was my daughter, I would want somebody to do the same thing for me," the boxer told TMZ.
Griner is serving four months in prison for bringing into the country and possessing e-cigarette liquid with marijuana in it. Marijuana is illegal in Russia, and Brittney should have known that in advance.
Roy added that he has friends in Russia who may be able to help him bring the basketball player back home.
