Rugby player Kelly Meafua dead tragically after his team won
His club is shocked by this tragedy.
Kelly Meafua, 32, rugby player from the French rugby club US Montauban died after falling in the Tarn river in Southern France.
His team still shocked after this tragedy. Meafua died just hours after his team's 48-40 victory over Narbonne. A teammate tried to rescue him but dodn’t succeed.
"The entire USM Sapiac club is shocked by this tragedy, and has a thought for his wife, his children, his teammates, and more generally, all club lovers," CNN reports according to team’s statement.
