Sophie Ellis-Bextor explained why she refused to be a jury member at Eurovision

Sophie Ellis-Bextor explained why she refused to become a judge at the Eurovision Song Contest. She found some of the rules for judging bizzare. She was offered to be the person who would judge the contestants, but in the end she turned down the role.
The singer did not like the fact that the judges were forbidden to bring children with them, even little ones. Sophie had a baby that she was still nursing, but she would not have been allowed to take it with her to the hours-long filming.
Also, she was surprised by a strange rule of silence - the judges must remain silent during the entire judging process, writes Mirror.
"I can't watch Eurovision in silence," she said.
