Unreleased new Doctor Strange movie banned from Saudi Arabia
According to rumors, the cause was an LGBTQ character.
The unreleased Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has been preemptively banned in Saudi Arabia. The reason was the inclusion of an LGBTQ character in the new film, The Hollywood Reporter informs.
According to rumors, the audience in Saudi Arabia was not shown The Eternals and West Side Story for the same reason. Kuwait may join the censors of the Persian Gulf as well, but this information has not yet been officially confirmed.
Since homosexuality is officially banned throughout the Persian Gulf, some Disney and MCU films are outlawed.
