Early pictures from James Webb Space Telescope impress

New NASA’s telescope gets outstanding pics
NASA's new space telescope is in the home stretch of testing.

NASA's new James Webb space telescope is almost ready for its work and sends first pictures. Test picture of a neighboring satellite galaxy gave stunning when compared with images taken by NASA’s previous infrared observatory, the Spitzer Space Telescope.

Each of the 18 mirror segments on the new telescope is bigger than the single one on Spitzer.

New telescope was launched in December and costs $10 billion. It will replace the aging Hubble Space Telescope, AP says.
