The iconic franchise may also be leaving Sam Waterson.
Anthony Anderson will not be returning to Law & Order, he will no longer play the role of Detective Kevin Bernard in season 22 of the series. He signed a contract with NBC for a 21st season in 2021 and has not renewed it.
In addition, it became known, and the show may also leave Sam Waterston, who plays Jack McCoy. He, too, is only signed to a one-year contract, but there is no official word yet on his departure.
Law & Order and Law & Order: Organized Crime were recently renewed for new seasons. The relaunch of the famous series from the '90s was rebooted last year, Variety writes.
