The BBC CEO said that young viewers prefer Netflix and Disney+.

The BBC CEO confirmed that CBBC and BBC will close 4 TV channels within 3 years. Some of them have been broadcasting since 1985, but they are rapidly losing ratings.

The channel's CEO Tim Davy explained that younger viewers are more likely to prefer streaming channels like Netflix and Disney Plus. The BBC is also facing a £500,000,000 cut in funding. Davy added that the changes will take place in three years.

"Something genuinely new, a Reithian organization for the digital age, a positive force for the UK and the world. Independent, impartial, constantly innovating and serving everyone. A fresh, new, global digital media organization which has never been seen before," Metro quotes Tim as saying.
