She has long been a supporter of this religion.

Scientologist Elisabeth Moss has stated that people have a misconception about the religion. The "Handmaid's Tale" star added that it's not some kind of "secret" religion, but rather a very open one, informs Page Six.

Moss explained that she cannot control how other people perceive Scientology, but she can share her personal experience. She says that Scientology is unfairly accused of almost magical rituals, although in fact this is far from the truth.

"It's not really a closed-off religion. It's a place that is very open to, like, welcoming in somebody who wants to learn more about it. I think that's the thing that is probably the most misunderstood. People can obviously hold in their mind whatever they want to, and I can't control that," Moss said.
