Harry Styles says he's been hesitant about making fun music since his departure from One Direction. He wanted to be perceived as a "serious musician," writes Better Homes & Gardens.

"I'd come out of the band, and it was like, if I want to be taken seriously as a musician, then I can't make fun music," he said in an interview.

Over time, Styles "evolved" and now this feeling does not weigh on him, especially before the release of his third studio album.
