Fans didn't like that Melissa McBride left the spinoff.

Fans of The Walking Dead began to speak toxicly about Norman Reedus. They did not like the fact that the actor remained in the spinoff of the series, and Melissa McBride left the project, writes USM.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan was angry with this reaction from the fans. On his Twitter, he stated that viewers of the series have gone too far in their toxicity. He commented on the transfer of filming to Europe, which is why McBride left The Walking Dead.

"Attacking Norm for crap he has NOTHING to do with? Melissa made a call that was hers alone. She wants/needs a break. Respect that. […] Norman had nothing to do with picking location. That decision is all about story, ideas… MONEY. That's studio/network. Not actors. We can say yes and do, or no," he said.
