Chinese actress violated local advertising laws.

The star of Pacific Rim: Uprising and Kong: Skull Island Jing Tian was fined for violating the law on advertising. The Chinese actress starred in an advertisement for candy that was sold under the guise of a weight loss product.

These candies were sold through online stores, including such popular ones as Taobao and JD.com. After a fine was imposed, the products disappeared from those stores. In that advertisement, Jing said it was possible to stay in good shape by taking these candies after every meal.

This allegedly blocked the body's absorption of sugar, oil and fat, Insider writes.
