Lakers star Lamar Odom may start taking hallucinogenic drug again
Lamar Odom has said he is ready to return to taking the hallucinogenic drug ibogaine for therapeutic purposes. He would do it if he realized that he needed mental health treatment again, writes Page Six.
The former Lakers player said he did it recently in Mexico and during the trip saw his late son, who died of sudden infant death syndrome at the age of 6 months. Lamar's child passed away in 2006.
“This shit lasts like a couple of hours. I have been on drugs for most of my adult life and it was so strong that I hoped it would stop. It was really stunning,” Odom said.
He has taken ibogaine under medical supervision and is ready to do so again. However, he realizes that he does not need to take hallucinogenic drugs yet.
