Maisie Williams admitted that her character Arya Stark surprised her with her sexual orientation. She admitted that she imagined her character in Game of Thrones to be different.

Fans and movie reviewers have been guessing about Arya Stark's orientation for eight seasons of the show, and were also surprised when she had a relationship with a man.

"The first time that I was surprised by Arya I guess was probably in the final series where she whips off her clothes and sleeps with Gendry," Maisie told Teen Vogue.
