Alex Kurtzman flopped at the box office.

The director of the film The Mummy with Tom Cruise said that his 2017 film was the biggest failure in his life. The Mummy flopped at the box office, earning $32 million on a budget of $190 million, writes Insider.

In addition, the film received a lot of negative reviews from critics.

"I tend to subscribe to the point of view that you learn nothing from your successes, and you learn everything from your failures. And that was probably the biggest failure of my life, both personally and professionally," he said.

Kurtzman added that despite this, the film gave him a lot of new opportunities and acquaintances.
