Paralysed Jonathan Goodwin let his fiancée Amanda Abbington split him

Jonathan Goodwin revealed that he proposed to his Amanda Abbington that they break up with him after he became paralyzed. He admitted that he was aware of all the risks and difficulties of recovery, so he gave Amanda "a free card to get out of jail."

According to Metro, Abbington flatly refused to leave her beloved and called his words stupid. Jonathan and Amanda got engaged shortly before an accident that left the acrobat in a wheelchair.

The bride of the daredevil added that the trouble only brought them closer.

"We are closer and tighter than ever, I think – every day is a joy, it's just fun. We have the best time," she said.
