Actor Matthew Broderick has tested positive for COVID-19. Due to illness, he will have to miss the performance of Plaza Suite.

Broderick is slated to come back to the stage on April 15.

The actor got a second test to check if it was a mistake. But it was also positive. Now he will be treated in isolation until the tests are negative.

The performance with the actor was planned before the pandemic, but on the eve of the premiere, all theaters were closed. The actors and the audience have been waiting for the premiere for two years, Daily Mail writes.
