Queen left her Platinum Jubilee celebration due to health issues
She felt "discomfort" during the second event — Epsom Derby.
Queen Elizabeth II interrupted her participation in her own Platinum Jubilee celebration due to ill health. According to Buckingham Palace, she withdrew from the second event (the Epsom Derby) because she felt discomfort.
The 96-year-old Queen has missed the Epsom Derby only twice in her 70 years, with ill health being the fault of the third time. However, she will still watch the derby live on television from Windsor Castle, the palace told the BBC.
The queen had earlier canceled her appearance at Friday's National Thanksgiving Service at St. Paul's Cathedral in London, citing "discomfort."
