Troy Kotsur developed the Tusken sign language for the 'Star Wars' series 'The Mandalorian'

Troy Kotsur became the second deaf performer, and the first man, to win an acting Oscar. But also he helped develop the sign language the StarWars series TheMandalorian.

This became known after the Oscar, when an old interview with the star surfaced online appeared on the Internet, Collider reports.

According to Kotsur, each sign language reflects the needs of its users, so it was only natural to come up with a new system. That's what he did.

Troy Kotsur wanted to be part of StarWars since he was eight years old, and for him this work became an important thing in life.
