Viola Davis revealed that a director once called her by her maid's name. The actress soon found out that that was the name of that director's black maid, who had known Viola for 10 years.

All of this Davis considers microaggression. She also said that black rights in Hollywood are still limited.

"I had a director who did that to me. He said, 'Louise!' I knew him for 10 years and he called me Louise and I find out that's because his maid's name is Louise. I was maybe around 30 at the time, so it was a while ago. But what you have to realize is that those micro-aggressions happen all the time," Insider quoted her as saying.
