'Wonder Woman' comic creator George Perez dies of cancer at 67
He rebooted the series about the legendary female DC character.
George Perez died peacefully of pancreatic cancer next to his wife at the age of 67, writes Variety. Perez was the legendary comic book artist and writer who relaunched Wonder Woman and also drew many other comics.
DC publisher and chief creative officer Jim Lee said that George had a dynamic and expressive art style.
"His art was the perfect storytelling canvas for some of the most important events in DC history. While he will be sorely missed, his work will live on with a countless number of fans, as well as all the talent he's influenced over the years, Lee added.
