Strnad was the band’s founding member, releasing the group’s first breakthrough tracks in 2001.

The Black Dahlia Murder lead singer Trevor Strnad tragically died in his 41. The shocked band decribes him as “loved by all that met him.”

“A walking encyclopedia of all things music. He was a hugger, a writer, and truly one of the world’s greatest entertainers,” it said in the band announcement.

A cause of death wasn’t officially published yet, Page Six reports.

“His lyrics provided the world with stories and spells and horror and whimsy. It was his life to be your show,” the “Deathmask Divine” hitmakers added.
