Soft Cell return with first new album in 20 years

The band hasn't performed in 17 years.

Soft Cell return with the quarantined album Happiness Not Included. It's been 20 years since the release of their last record. Soft Sell lead singer Mark Almond said the album helped him and Dave Ball survive quarantine.

The band's last record, Cruelty Without Beauty, was released back in 2002. Almond added that he's even grateful for the period of isolation because the solitude and silence helped him create, The Sun says.

"It was 17 years since we'd done our last gig and it was a nice way to mark our 40th anniversary," Mark says.
