Why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were 'low-key' at the Queen's Platinum Jubilee
The Sussex few appeared in public because of their new status.
During the celebration of Queen Elizabeth's platinum jubilee, fans surprisingly didn't see too much of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The Duke and Duchess' more low-key visit to the celebration was entirely deliberate, as the Sussex family no longer work as members of the royal family.
In fact, they came to meet the Queen and introduce her to Lilibet. They managed to do it.
“They aren’t part of the working royal family anymore, and that’s a decision they have taken — but maybe the public hasn’t quite accepted that yet,” an insider told People.
